Sound familiar?
- The Sunday-night invoice scramble before a new month
- Reschedule requests scattered across three text threads
- Parents asking what their kid should practice - again
- Practice recordings arriving by text, email, and shared links
- A no-show with no record of whether it was excused
Voice-note lesson summaries
Speak a short voice note between students. Review a draft summary and practice plan for families, plus a private note about the singer’s progress.
Make-up credits for sick days
Singers get sick - a lot. Excused absences issue a make-up credit automatically, and the credit follows the student until it’s used.
Recital-season-proof scheduling
Block out audition weeks, add buffer time between back-to-back lessons, and let families self-book only the slots you actually open.
Messages and recordings in the portal
Answer a singer’s question, assign a warm-up, and collect a short audio upload without digging through texts before the next lesson.
Online lessons that don’t flatten the voice
Teach remotely in the browser with audio settings designed for singing. Optional live transcription can feed a summary draft for review. Audio and video calls are not recorded. The 1:1 add-on starts at $12.99/mo.
Plus everything in Features: scheduling with buffers and policies, Stripe payments, make-up credits, reports, and calendar sync. Portal messages, homework assignments, and student submissions are included on every plan.
A website for your teaching studio
Show your instruments, repertoire, and teaching approach, introduce your teachers, and help families book or ask a question. Customize the page visually, then preview before publishing.
Website/Funnel add-on: $19/month, plus your studio plan.

Do I need a credit card to try it?
No. Start a 30-day trial of the studio management tools without a credit card. A trial does not automatically enable every paid add-on. Review website and video options in Settings → Billing.
Start your free trialCan I build a customizable studio website?
Yes. The Website/Funnel add-on costs $19/month or $190/year, in addition to your studio plan. Change colors, fonts, spacing, section order, images, and layouts; add teacher profiles, lesson pricing, booking links, group classes, FAQs, and inquiry forms. Collect inquiries in Teachstead and turn them into student records.
Explore the website builderCan I offer group classes and waitlists?
Yes. Create group sessions with a capacity, track the roster and attendance, and let families reserve seats from your public class page. Enable a waitlist when a class fills up. In-person group classes do not require a video add-on. Group Video Classes is a separate add-on for online group teaching.
Are video lessons recorded?
Teachstead video rooms have audio and video recording disabled. Optional live transcription creates text that can be used to draft a lesson summary. Teachers can separately record a voice note after a lesson, and students can upload practice recordings to assignments. Those uploads are different from recording a video call.
